The last foal born at Maplewood in 2009, Danskk was named for the puppet-like motion that compels his knees and hocks to reach for the sky! Excitement stirs in the air as Danskk moves from stand to step with an explosion of power and impulsion – demonstrating the cat-quick nimbleness and extreme athletic ability one would expect from his spectacular genetics.

Danskk exhibits all of the traits we have come to expect in Erykk’s foals, including an upright neck, a sharply sculpted head that is set off by large, luminous black eyes and expressive ears, as well as a strong, smoothly constructed frame and fantastic movements at the trot. Danskk’s dam Medaly brings to memory some of the great historic English Show mares of the breed and introduces lines to Comet, Aloes and Nabor, as well as additional Forta blood – a mare renowned for her exceptional performance production.

Danskk is a force at Maplewood, and carries along with his great genetic potential the undeniable talent that ensures his future success as a show horse supreme. We look forward to watching this colt develop into one of our future stars.
