Goldman MF was a bit of a surprise – as we were not expecting a firestorm in Chestnut, with flashes of white. Everything about this colt is a surprise, and we are watching him with excitement! Goldman’s color trait is along the lines of ‘extreme’ when it comes to type, and he is reminiscent of other exotic and talented *Bask-type chestnuts that we have seen leave their mark on the breed.

Goldman is a full brother in blood to our ultra talented filly Gala MF, as evident in their shared extremes: Extreme balance and elevation from all corners of the trot, huge eye sockets and globes for eyes that are set well apart – in a deep and luminous shade of black. Goldman’s ears are tight and well shaped, demonstrating the influence of Negatraz in his pedigrees. Goldman canters on a loose lead - almost in place, and with extremely cadenced motion at the trot – it is almost as if he was born to Piaffe. Every action is undertaken with the quick-twitch muscle of a natural born athlete, and even at a full month behind his sister Gala, he keeps pace with every move she makes despite their difference in age.

Genetics played a full part in the outcome of this colt's appearance and talent; all the finest surfaced to the top. He is certain to fulfill the great legacy of his predecessors *Bask, Balagan and Erykk MF, all of whom demonstrated exceptional trotting talents and great genetic prepotency.
