Maplewood is pleased to announce the lease of Quarry Hill Farm’s fantastic mare ESPECIALLEY for the 2009/2010 breeding year. ESPECIALLEY is the full sister to Strawberry Banks’ famed ERICCA (Tempter x Elegant Crystal by *Aladdinn). ERICCA was named both US National Champion Mare and US National Champion English Pleasure Junior Horse Unanimously, a combination of achievements that are unmatched by any other Arabian mare in the history of the breed. ESPECIALLEY shares her sister's enchanting presence, extreme elegance, and magnificent movements, and will be bred to ERYKK MF (Balagan x *Era by Carycyn) in 2009 to introduce the contributions of COGNAC and *ALADDINN to our program.

ESPECIALLEY’s dam ELEGANT CRYSTAL is the product of two National Champion halter horses, US National Champion Stallion *Aladdinn and the exquisite US National Champion Mare *Elkana. *Elkana founded a dynasty of National Champion producing mares in the United States, who are responsible for producing such athletes as Multiple National Champions A TEMPTATION, ALLIENCE, TO LOVE AGAIN, AMOREE, and ESPECIALLEY’s sister ERICCA. Similarly in Poland, the female family of Milordka has produced such superstars as EKSTERN, EL DORADA, EMANDORIA, ELANDRA, *EMANOR, and the former queens of Maplewood *Era and *Erwina.

ERYKK MF is another fine example of the beauty and powerful movements produced by the Milordka female family, being a grandson of the ultra dynamic ESKAPADA, who is a full sister to *ELKANA’s dam ESTEBNA. We are excited to double-up on this valuable blood through these two exceptionally talented horses. We are grateful for this opportunity and thank Rae Paige Schwarz for sharing her prized mare with us.

Especialley's daughter QH TALLULAH was recently named Unanimous Champion Country English Pleasure Junior Horse at the 2009 Buckeye Sweepstakes Show. Watch for her in future competitions with Stachowski Farm, of Ohio.
